We grow Quercus ilex (Holm oak)

Holms oak are cultivated both standard with leading stem and bush or cone shape.

Holm oak trees are cultivated in the soil for 4 years, from 200 cm tall striplings. Afterwards they are planted in containers until they reach the following sizes:

  • circumference 8/10 cm container 45 lt
  • circumference 10/12 cm container 55 lt
  • circumference 12/14 cm container 55 lt
  • circumference 14/16 cm container 90 lt

For  circumference larger than 16 cm  – plants must be transplanted from the size of 8-12 cm and coltivated at least  for 4-5 years. Plants arefixed in a container, for at least a growing season. The following sizes are available:

  • circumference 16/18 cm container 130 lt
  • circumference 18/20 cm container 150 lt
  • circumference 20/25 cm container 180 lt
  • circumference 25/30 cm container 180 lt

Quercus ilex  are cultivated both in bush and cone shape. Plants are kept in the soil 4 years long and then put in a container for about two years. The following sizes are available:

  • bush h 200/250 cm container 90 lt
  • bush /cone h 250/300 container 130/150 lt
  • bush /cone h 300 /400 container 150/180 lt

We never keep Quercus ilex  in the soil more than 5 years.
